As many others, I too have chosen to blog about my travels. My reasons for this are simple, I want my loved ones to know were I’m at, that I’m well and to see what I’m experiencing. And who am I then? I’m a 25 year old Finn (hence the name of the blog) that likes to travel and experience new cultures. I’ve done some travelling before, but this is the first time I’m blogging about it. In my hometown of Vaasa, I study, work and have fun with my friends as any other normal person.
But now for the real reason you’re reading this blog; traveling. It all started a few months back when, for reasons you can ask me personally, I chose to apply for exchange studies. The choice of were to go was simple, either The States or Asia. Why? Because I’ve been to both, but felt I needed to see more. My final destination was set fore New Delhi, India. Before India, however, I am making a stop over in New York (!), to see an old friend of mine who is currently studying in New York. And here is were the journey really begins, at a rooftop in Brooklyn, the rain pattering against my face, the wind blowing in my hear, the New York skyline before my weary eyes. I’m in New York, the city that never sleeps, and I start my fabulous trip here by sleeping my jet lagged ass off. Now, 7 am, my roommates are still sleeping while all I want to do is go out and start exploring this famous city. And actually, I think I’ll do just that. So much to do with so little time. I better just get started!
